The AWID Awards honor exceptional women who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovation, and dedication to advancing development initiatives across Africa.
This year, 1700 nominations were received from 34 African countries. Ninety-five percent of our selection process was conducted through an Independent Selection Committee, while 5% was through research and recommendation. The selection process was rigorous, and your nomination stood out among an impressive pool of candidates.
