Donors for Africa Foundation Announces Chloé Bertrand as Winner of the 2023 GEDA Pitch Competition
Donors for Africa Foundation proudly announces that Chloé Bertrand, AFRORAMA’s co-founder, is the outstanding winner of the highly anticipated 2023 GEDA Pitch Competition. This year’s event witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 3000 applications pouring in from changemakers across 30 African countries for the fifth cohort of the GEDA Fellowship program.
The pinnacle of this African competition, the final pitch, saw three finalists emerging from an esteemed pool of 12 semi-finalists across seven categories, showcasing their innovative ideas and impactful initiatives. Chloé Bertrand, representing AFRORAMA, stood out among the finalists, demonstrating exceptional prowess and dedication.
The finalists, comprising distinguished NGOs and Social Enterprises from South Africa, Uganda, and Nigeria, engaged in an intense showdown, each granted 5 minutes to pitch their transformative visions, followed by insightful 5-minute Q&A sessions with expert judges boasting extensive development experience in their respective categories.
Chloé Bertrand’s remarkable performance and unwavering commitment captured the judges’ attention, leading to her triumph as the victor. As the winner, Chloé will take home a prestigious cash prize, receive significant media visibility, access technical expert support, secure a coveted 1-year unpaid membership by Humentum, and be honored with numerous other awards.
